Terms of Service
What Low-Pressure Service Covers
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to low water pressure inspections and repairs that Michigan Plumbing Pros agrees to perform. Work may include diagnosing pressure problems and repairing or replacing related plumbing components when listed in an approved estimate. Work outside that written scope, including broader plumbing projects or unrelated repairs, requires a separate agreement.
We perform work subject to applicable requirements, including the Michigan Plumbing Code, 2021 edition, and Michigan plumber licensing rules under Public Act 733. Required plumbing permits are handled through the local enforcing agency; Detroit permits are administered by the Buildings, Safety Engineering, and Environmental Department.
Applicable Lead and Copper Rule obligations and Michigan EGLE requirements for regulated waste disposal also apply. These rules may affect the work or require additional steps.
Water-system work or matters overseen by the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, or the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency may involve separate agencies, approvals, or agreements. We will explain known scope limits before proceeding.
Appointment Changes and Visit Planning
Appointments are arranged directly with Michigan Plumbing Pros. We will confirm the planned visit and any arrival window through the contact method agreed with you. Please provide access to the affected plumbing, disclose known site conditions, and tell us about access limits or building rules before the appointment.
If you need to cancel or change a visit, contact us as soon as possible using the phone number or email in these terms. We will discuss a new time based on availability.
If we cannot safely access the work area, or a condition prevents the agreed repair, we may pause and arrange another visit. No cancellation fee or notice period is created by this section; any applicable charge must be disclosed and agreed before it is incurred.
If inspection shows that the work differs from the approved scope, we will explain the change and any price or timing effect. We will not proceed with added work without your approval, except as required to address an immediate safety concern or by law.
Written Estimates and Payment Approval
An estimate describes the work Michigan Plumbing Pros expects to perform based on the information available at the time. Hidden damage, inaccessible piping, or other conditions discovered during inspection may change the recommended work, cost, or schedule. We will explain a proposed change and obtain your approval before performing additional work, unless an immediate step is required by law or to address a safety risk.
Your estimate or written work authorization will state the agreed price and any payment timing that applies. Payment is due according to those terms. We do not promise a particular price or offer financing through these terms. If the estimate does not explain when payment is due, ask us to clarify before approving the work.
Please review the scope and contact information on the estimate before authorizing service. Approval may be recorded in writing or through another method confirmed with you. Disputed or unclear charges should be raised promptly so we can review the estimate, approvals, and completed work together.
Written Coverage for Completed Repairs
Michigan Plumbing Pros stands behind workmanship only to the extent stated in a written warranty or work authorization provided for the specific job. These terms do not create a warranty period, promise a particular repair life, or extend a manufacturer’s product coverage. If written coverage applies, its document will explain the duration, covered work, and how to request service.
Coverage may not apply to problems caused by pre-existing plumbing conditions, normal wear, misuse, outside damage, work performed by others, or changes made after our repair, where the written warranty or applicable law allows that exclusion. A recurring pressure problem may also result from a separate or newly discovered condition rather than the work performed. We will review the reported issue and the job records before determining whether it falls within written coverage.
Contact us promptly if you believe completed work needs attention. Keep your estimate and payment records available. Nothing in this section removes rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Responsibility for Plumbing Work and Existing Conditions
To the extent Michigan law permits, Michigan Plumbing Pros’ responsibility for a claim related to a service is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it, including liability that cannot legally be waived or restricted. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or damage caused by factors outside our control, except where applicable law says otherwise.
Pressure diagnosis may reveal conditions that were concealed or unrelated to the approved repair. We will describe material findings and seek approval before expanding the work.
Work remains subject to applicable requirements, including the Michigan Plumbing Code, 2021 edition, local permit rules, and plumber licensing requirements under Public Act 733. The local enforcing agency determines permit requirements; Detroit plumbing permits are handled by the Buildings, Safety Engineering, and Environmental Department.
Nothing here transfers a regulator’s duties to the customer or excuses either party from legal obligations. Any limitation in these terms applies only as far as the law allows.
Questions About These Service Terms

Mail may be sent to GM Renaissance Center - Tower 500, 500 Renaissance Center, Detroit, MI. Include your name and, if relevant, the service date or estimate number so we can identify the matter.

The version provided with your estimate or authorization applies to that agreed work, unless a later change is accepted by both parties or required by law. Updates do not remove rights that cannot legally be waived.
